Una famosa escritora de novelas románticas, Tsui Ting-Yin (Angelica Lee), anuncia que su próximo proyecto será un thriller de intriga titulado "La tierra de los muertos". Tsui comienza su novela pero, al no convencerle del todo, decide borrarla de su ordenador. Al día siguiente todo lo que había empezado a escribir comienza a hacerse realidad...

Tang Yin es una famosa escritora de best-sellers que acaba de anunciar en rueda de prensa que su nueva y esperadísima novela está casi terminada. El problema es que ni siquiera la ha empezado. Así que presionada por las circunstancias empieza a escribir un relato titulado 'Re-Cycle', sobre un universo imaginario al que van a parar todos los objetos y personas olvidados por los habitantes de nuestro mundo. After writing three best-sellers about love story based on her own experiences, the successful writer Tsui Ting-Yin is without inspiration and having difficulties to write her new novel in the horror genre entitled "Re-cycle". While drafting the text, spooky events happen at her apartment and her former boy-friend of eight years ago visits her, after his divorce, proposing Tsui. When Tsui sees a supernatural long-haired character of her book, she follows him and is trapped in his world of terror. But she is saved by the young Ting-yu, who discloses a secret about her to Tsui.
