Charlot cambia de oficio 
Charlot intenta conseguir trabajo en una película, y le asignan ser ayudante del carpintero que construye los decorados. Pero cuando uno de los actores no se presenta al rodaje, a Charlot le surge la oportunidad de actuar en la película.

His New Job (Charlie's New Job), 1915, 32 min.

Charlie is trying to get a job in a movie. After causing difficulty on the set he is told to help the carpenter. When one of the actors doesn't show, Charlie is given a chance to act but instead enters a dice game. When he does finally act he ruins the scene, wrecks the set and tears the skirt from the star. 


Carmen
Versión cómica de "Carmen", la ópera de Bizet. Chaplin interpreta Darn Hosiery, jefe de la guardia, que lo deja todo por Carmen, una gitana de la que se ha enamorado. La película tiene dos versiones: una de 1915 (37 minutos) y ésta de 1916.

 This is a parody of two "Carmen"s, Bizet's opera and a movie (1915) starring Geraldine Farrar. Smugglers come ashore. Their leader sends the gypsy Carmen to lure Don Jose (called Darn Hosiery) away so they can get the contraband to town. There are grand swordfights, deaths, returns to life. His Regeneration 
Charlot, recién salido de prisión, escucha las palabras de un reformador y resiste la tentación de participar en un robo que no ofrecía riesgos. Luego se da cuenta que el predicador tiene malas intenciones por lo que renuncia de improviso a su propósito de enmienda. En el curso de una tropelía una hermosa joven le tienta a volver al buen camino, para lo cual le perdona, le hace arrepentirse y le protege, pero la policía está siempre allí y es mejor no confiarse.

His Regeneration, 1915, 34 min.

Charlie is released from prison and immediately swindled by a fake parson. A fellow ex-convict convinces Charlie to help burglarize a house, but Edna, the house's owner, catches them and calls the police. Charlie, however, manages to charm his way out of trouble .... at least for the moment. 

Charlot en el Teatro 
En esta ocasión Charlot acude al teatro, perfectamente vestido de etiqueta. Y allí se acumulan situaciones graciosas y molestas, algunas reconocibles para cualquiera...

A Night in the Show (Charlie at the Show), 1915, 29 min.

 Mr. Pest tries several theatre seats before winding up in front in a fight with the conductor. He is thrown out. In the lobby he pushes a fat lady into a fountain and returns to sit down by Edna. Mr. Rowdy, in the gallery, pours beer down on Mr. Pest and Edna. He attacks patrons, a harem dancer, the singers Dot and Dash, and a fire-eater.
