Producción televisiva inspirada en el personaje real de Ben Carson. Hijo de padres separados y de un hogar muy humilde. Ben no parecía tener muchas expectativas en la vida. Sin embargo, su madre creyó en él desde el principio. Fue ella quien consiguió inculcarle la confianza necesaria para iniciar la compleja carrera de medicina. Finalmente, se convirtió en un reconocido doctor y en un preciado neurocirujano.


Típica película que apela a los sentimientos y que supone un buenísimo ejemplo para todo aquél que la vea. En la vida no deben existir límites de ningún tipo -ya sean raciales, económicos, etc.-. El ser humano puede conseguir lo que se proponga siempre que trabaje duro y esté dispuesto realizar numerosos sacrificios.

I grew up hearing about some of Ben Carson's amazing surgeries and remember reading about him when I was a teenager, probably, so I was excited when I heard about this movie. I just watched it for the first time, and it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. I can't believe it was a made-for-TV movie! This movie tells the story of how Ben Carson went from being a kid who was a failure in school and had a very low self-esteem to a famous, gifted surgeon. It tells some about his family life and about two of his famous surgeries. This movie kept me glued to it all the way through--it was like a good book you can't put down!
