Superman

Desde una galaxia remota, un recién nacido es enviado por sus padres al espacio debido a la inminente destrucción del planeta donde viven. La nave aterriza en la Tierra, y el niño es adoptado por unos granjeros que le inculcan los mejores valores humanos. Con los años el joven se irá a Metrópolis y allí usará sus poderes sobrenaturales para luchar contra el Mal.

Adaptación a la pantalla del clásico supehéroe. Christopher Reeve (antes de sufrir su desgraciada lesión) dio vida al héroe que, recuerda, “ha sido una figura muy importante en nuestra cultura. En los años 30 era un rayo de esperanza durante la Depresión. En los 40, los soldados leían en la trincheras el cómic como apoyo moral. En los 50 y 60 era un gran héroe para tiempos difíciles. Y en los 70 y 80 era una figura romántica y un amigo”.

Unable to convince the ruling council of Krypton that their world will destroy itself soon, scientist Jor-El takes drastic measures to preserve the Kryptonian race: He sends his infant son Kal-El to Earth.
